Job Title: Internal Sales (Public Sector) 
Location: Pretoria

Role Purpose:

The Internal Sales Representative is responsible for managing inbound and outbound sales activities from within the office, maintaining customer relationships, processing orders, and supporting the field sales team. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to identify and convert sales opportunities while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Management

o Handle incoming sales inquiries via phone, email, or online platforms.

o Proactively follow up on leads and quotations to secure orders.

o Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize revenue.

o Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.

Order Processing & Administration

o Prepare and process quotes, sales orders, and invoices accurately.

o Coordinate with logistics/warehouse to ensure timely deliveries.

o Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and sales activity

Support to External Sales Team

o Assist field sales representatives with account management.

o Prepare sales reports, presentations, and client proposals as required.

Product & Market Knowledge

o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company¡¦s product range, pricing, and promotions.

o Monitor market trends and competitor activity to provide feedback to management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric / Grade 12 (essential).

• Relevant sales or customer service qualification (advantageous).

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an internal sales role, preferably in the IT industry

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM systems

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Sales targets achieved or exceeded.

• Lead-to-sale conversion rate.

• Customer satisfaction and retention rates.

• Accuracy and timeliness of order processing and Quotes
